Revival is thrilled to announce has won a £2.5million contract to extend its services
across the whole of Staffordshire.
Revival currently help elderly and vulnerable people with housing improvements in
Stoke-on-Trent, Newcastle and Staffordshire Moorlands.
Now the new contract, which runs for nearly three years, will see Revival roll out its
services across all nine local authority areas in the county.
Revival will offer home adaptations, improvements and repairs to older people, those
with disabilities and people on lower incomes and will be offered to anyone, not just
tenants of Staffordshire Housing Association.
Christina Timmis, manager of Revival, said: “We’re thrilled and excited to be helping
people in new areas where we’ve not worked before.
“We were overjoyed to win the contract. It means we’ll continue to provide services in
the way we have for more than 20 years, but across the whole county.
“We worked very hard on the bid to provide services for several months and it’s a model
we think works really well.”
Cyril and Joan Barber from Bagnall are grateful that Revival gave them a helping hand
after they moved into sheltered accommodation. Joan, 76, had a stroke four years ago and now uses a wheelchair, and she and Cyril, 85, decided to move into a more suitable
flat in Bagnall Heights.
Their new home needed adaptations so Revival stepped in and helped them secure a
disabled facilities grant, made alterations to the bathroom and fitted an accessible

“The alterations make all the difference in the world. It’s only a matter of a few more
inches extra space here and there but it’s made a huge difference and it’s brilliant.”
Revival will also offer advice for people considering their housing and care options, such
as wanting to move to be closer to their families, as well as guidance on applying for
The agency currently delivers services to around 3,000 clients and expects to help a
further 1,200 every year under the contract awarded by Staffordshire County Council.
Clients are usually referred by social services but there are no restrictions on who can
refer potential clients
